  17. I'm not going to comment on the rest of your drivel, but being a video guy I
  18. must point out that PAL is not technologically superior to NTSC, it uses the
  19. same bandwidth, all it does is trade frame resolution for frame rate. Instead
  20. of the /superior/ 30 fps (60 fields), it uses 25 fps (50 fields), thus
  21. resulting in a noticable flicker in PAL monitors. This tradeoff allows a
  22. higher resolution on individual frames...
